Drake has officially announced the return of his beloved music festival, OVO Fest, and fans are already beaming with excitement.
The Toronto-born rapper dropped the big news during a surprise appearance at Central Cee’s concert at HISTORY on Saturday night. Partway through the performance, Drake addressed the crowd from the VIP section, saying, “I haven’t had a chance to say this yet, but OVO Fest is back this year.”
While the exact dates and lineup remain under wraps, that didn’t stop fans from flooding social media with their reactions.
“OVO Fest is back! Drake always delivers. You already know it’s gonna be fire,” one fan posted on X (formerly Twitter). Another wrote on Instagram, “Pleaseee, I’ll spend my last dollar.”
Speculation about surprise appearances quickly followed, with fans wondering who might hit the stage this year. “Why do I have a feeling he’s bringing Vybz Cartel to OVO Fest this year?” one Instagram user asked. Another confidently replied, “You already know Vybz is a guest at OVO Fest.”
Some fans joked about the lengths they’d go to just to attend. “Imma need a GoFundMe for OVO Fest tickets,” one person quipped. “I will be at OVO Fest one way or another!!!!” vowed another on X.
Drake also made headlines during the show by performing his track “Nokia” from the balcony of the venue. As of now, no official date or venue has been confirmed for the upcoming festival.
The last OVO Fest took place in 2022 at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage and featured a highly anticipated Young Money reunion with standout performances by Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne.
Since its launch in 2010, OVO Fest has grown into a major cultural event in Toronto, known for surprise guests, iconic headliners, and a strong focus on local talent.
