#NEWSYOUCANUSE: One in ten women and an unidentified number of transgender and non-binary people live with endometriosis, a disease that causes chronic pain, heavy bleeding, and other debilitating symptoms. Maia Leggott is one of those people, and says that her doctors brushed her off for years, saying that her pain and symptoms were due to “bad periods”. For ten years Maia fought with doctors to be diagnosed, and this week she sat down with Dev to describe how this condition has affected her life, and how she believes doctors can better treat people living with endometriosis.
