A shocking moment at the recent Post Malone concert in Toronto has gone viral after a fan captured the exact moment she was struck by fireworks during the opening acts Jelly rolls show.
In a TikTok clip posted earlier this week with over 3 million views now, the concertgoer Bre Flynn is seen enjoying the show when sparks from onstage fireworks suddenly land on the top of her head. The moment occurred during Jelly Roll’s performance of his emotional track “Save Me.”
“The sparks were flying and they landed on my head. It gave me a second-degree burn… and it really hurts,” she said in a follow-up video.
The fan explained that she had to leave the crowd and spend the rest of the concert in the venue’s first-aid room.
She also shared that at first, her injury wasn’t taken seriously by venue staff. In her video, she said, “Luckily, I had a video of me, like a selfie video of it happening so people could believe me… When I was on the floor and I told the guy that I wanted first aid, he didn’t believe me. I felt like he didn’t believe me.”
She even claimed that a staff member simply handed her a water bottle and told her to pour it on the burn.
Naturally, the internet had a lot to say, and commenters were quick to react with shock, sympathy, and outrage.
“A pyro ash landed in my eye at the Dallas show. Hurt so bad,” one TikToker said.
“GET A LAWYER [and] don’t accept anything from the concert venue until after consulting with [a] lawyer,” a user also commented.
As the clip continues to circulate, it’s sparking bigger conversations about fan safety at large-scale events.
“I really hope the techs take a good hard look at this. I also think you should be, at the very least, reimbursed for all costs and tickets for another show,” another user chimed in.
