Drake is bringing Jamaican dance hall artist Vybz Kartel to Toronto to headline OVO Fest and fans are reacting to the insane ticket prices.
Those lucky enough to get into the pre-sale on Tuesday before dynamic pricing hit were able to secure lower bowl seats for under $350 and tickets in the 300s for over $200. However, fans later in the queue saw prices for similar seats on sale for more than $1,000!
Though there has yet to be an official announcement, fans are anticipating Vybz Kartel will be the headliner of OVO Fest 2025 as Drake promised to bring it back this year. This would be the first OVO Fest since the Young Money Reunion at Budweiser Stage in 2022. Though it is taking place a little bit past the summer, it’ll be an epic birthday weekend event for the scorpio rapper.
Online, fans are reacting to the wild ticket prices.
“Clearly the economy isn’t that bad for everybody…cause look at those prices…no sir not me,” said a TikTok user.
“Who’s condo balcony can we stand at lol,” another asked.
“Vybez has the money, not me. I’ll pass😂,” one user added.
Fans over on Instagram had similar sentiments.
“Watching on IG Live for free? Priceless. 😂,” one user commented.
Presales will end on Oct. 1 and the general sale begins on Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. Tickets for both shows are available here.
