Do desperate calls call for desperate measures, even in the name of love?

Tinder is an online dating app and with the swipe of your fingers it could potentially find you a match.

Tinder launched a new tier to their membership features but it will cost you nearly $6,000 a year. The feature is called “Tinder SELECT,” and it’s the latest addition to the three other tiers they already offer.

The benefits and features of each tier according to their website include:

Tinder Plus

  • Unlimited likes
  • Unlimited rewinds
  • Passport to any location
  • Hide advertisements

Tinder Gold

  • See who likes you
  • New top picks every day
  • 5 super likes a week
  • 1 free boost a month
  • And everything you love from Tinder Plus

Tinder Platinum

  • Message before matching
  • Prioritized likes
  • See the likes you’ve sent in the last 7 days
  • And everything you love from Tinder Gold

The Brandon Gonez Show contacted Tinder and spokesperson Tomas Iriarte-Reyes who said, “SELECT is Tinder’s exclusive membership, providing unparalleled access to the absolute best the app has to offer. Priced at $499 per month, users can choose to pay on a monthly or annual basis for added flexibility.”

Tinder SELECT

  • Select Mode: See Tinder’s most sought-after profiles, so you can connect with the people you’re here to meet.
  • Skip the Line: Your time is valuable. Make the most of it when your Likes get top spots for 7 days and are always unblurred.
  • Direct Message: Slide into DMs without having to match first and go right to the top of their inbox, up to 2x per week. Note: Some users may opt out of DMs.
  • VIP Experience: Membership spots are limited to less than 1% of users to ensure you receive the most exclusive experience possible.
  • Early access to certain new features: Be among the first to test out some of our newest features in advance!
  • Special Status: Show off your membership with an exclusive SELECT badge. If you’re not interested in adding this badge to your profile, you can opt out of it in your Settings.

He also added that people can hide advertisements and see the “likes” they sent within the last seven days.

“We sent out our first round of invitations when we launched in September 2023, as reported by Bloomberg. Since then, we’ve been steadily inviting more users to apply. This slow and steady expansion is probably why there’s been a recent surge in visibility and attention online as users share their invitations,” Iriarte-Reyes said.

We also asked if users were asking to see these new features offered in a new membership.

“Tinder identified a segment of users seeking an elevated, exclusive Tinder experience. As the platform grew, so did the demand for premium experiences. Tinder SELECT is a response to this demand,” Iriarte-Reyes responded.
