Actress and producer Gabrielle Union posted a video on Instagram about her take on being a Black woman working in Hollywood.
The 51-year-old has been showing Taraji P. Henson support after she spoke out about her personal experiences working as a Black woman in Hollywood. Henson sat down with Gayle King on SiriusXM on Dec. 19 about the pay inequality she has faced.
Union posted on X recently agreeing with the Oscar-nominated actress about her claims.
On Dec. 26, Union also posted on Instagram a video of her pointing out all the flaws she’s had to deal with working in Hollywood. She captioned the video “Merry Christmas from A Black Actress/Producer in Hollywood.”
She starts off the video by saying, “I’m a Black actress and producer in Hollywood. Of course I’ve been mistaken for Garcelle, Brandy, Ashanti, Sanaa, Nia, both Halles and both Reginas.”
She continued in a series of clips about other personal experiences that she’s had to deal with as well.
“I’m a Black actress and producer in Hollywood, and of course, my favourite phrase is ‘don’t f**k with my money.”
In the comments, celebrities showed their support such as La La Anthony who said, “This!!!!!” and actress Olivia Munn who commented with hearts.
