Going to a party thrown by Drake might not have been on many people’s 2026 bucket lists, but especially for those named Janice. Drake apologized to women named Janice with a surprise exclusive party as a formal apology for his song “Janice STFU”.
On Sunday, Cactus Club Cafe on Adelaide Street in Toronto hosted the Janice-only event between 1 to 4 p.m.
Physical invitations and emails had been sent to Janices across the city over the last week. The rapper also hosted apology parties in Houston, Los Angeles, Miami and New York.
Why Drake apologized to Janices
The initiative stems from the Toronto-born rapper hoping to make amends with the ladies bearing the name, following the release of abruptly-titled hit single “Janice STFU” from his long-awaited album ICEMAN.
The track debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Drake’s 14th chart-topper. The milestone broke his tie with Michael Jackson and gave him the most No. 1 hits by a male solo artist.
Inside the Toronto event, Janices were treated to a stacked food and drink menu (courtesy of the Champagne Papi, of course) along with plenty of cash giveaways.
Inside the Toronto lunch
Like many Toronto events, it all started with a lengthy line up outside of the restaurant.
Cash prizes and Peach ‘Linis
But once seated, a four-course family-style service was in store for diners, featuring Cactus Club Cafe favourites like hot chicken & pickles, butternut squash ravioli, and blackened creole chicken. One guest shared the full menu online, alongside Drake’s unofficial signature drink, The Bellini — or, as the 6 God calls it, the Peach ‘Linis, “dressed up with the red on top.”
Another attendee — who actually isn’t named Janice but attended as a Janice’s plus-one — posted a recap of the afternoon, including the event’s raffle prizes. In the comments, the TikToker claimed that multiple winners walked away with cash prizes ranging from $1,000 to $10,000.
And of course, no Drake-inspired outing would be complete without a little TikTok trend — cue the viral “Shabang” cocktail challenge.

Drake was a no-show
Despite footing the bill, Drake did not make an appearance at the Toronto event.
One Janice however, voiced that she was not able to get into the event due to limited capacity at Cactus Club, despite receiving an invitation.
“I took time out of my day, spent money getting downtown, and still got turned away even though I had an invitation. If you thought you owed the Janice’s an apology before, you owe us an even bigger one now,” the user commented on The Brandon Gonez Show post.
