Toronto will be able to sing their hearts out to the hit songs “Locked out of Heaven” and “Treasure” by the one and only, Bruno Mars.
The artist has a five-night run on May 23, 24, 27, 28 and 30th taking over Rogers Stadium as part of his “The Romantic Tour”.
Canadians are hyped for Bruno Mars’ upcoming shows, sharing their excitement with The Brandon Gonez Show.
“Oh man, shouting out all the Filipinos!”, said Canadian Matt T.
“You know what, I’m going to go to my work and get some tickets for the last show, at least,” Jawa S. told The Brandon Gonez Show.
Bruno Mars’ known for his amazing vocals and captivating stage presence which is why the demand for more shows was so high.
“Bruno Mars songs will be played at weddings for the next like 50 years to come. All age ranges love Bruno Mars. Like it’s easy to get your grandma on the dance floor,” Bill W told the Brandon Gonez Show.
“It’s a bit of a hassle to get up to the Rogers Stadium, as we all know, but I know he’s a great entertainer. It might be worth the trip up,” he added.
Many people took to social media last summer to complain about the new concert venue’s set up from the long walk in and out of the stage area to the congestion of transit after the shows.
But for Bruno Mars, some won’t let that bother them.
“For me, if you’re like an avid fan, I don’t really care about the walk and stuff. I’m just here to see him live, watching [him] perform,” Adrian R told The Brandon Gonez Show.
“Well, if it’s Bruno Mars, I’m willing to walk, however far that is,” said Bruno Mars fan, Pauline R.
TTC will be increasing its services on Line 1 and Line 2, and fans are encouraged to go to Downsview Park, Sheppard West or Wilson Station when going to Rogers Stadium this weekend. GO train services will not be running due to track work on May 23, 24 and 30.
Bruno Mars’ last concert in Toronto was in September of 2018 at Scotiabank Arena for the “24k Magic Tour”.
Even though there are five shows, many fans that aren’t able to attend will be looking forward to seeing it online, even if they’ll be going through some F.O.M.O. (the fear of missing out).
“I’m hoping that he sings a couple of his old favourites, like ‘Locked Out of Heaven’ or something. And of course, some of the classics, like ‘That’s What I Like’. So I’m hoping that there’s some videos of some of those songs that pop up,” shared Canadian Riona H.
