“Everyday it’ll rain, rain, ra-a-a-ain” is a popular Bruno Mars lyric, and that was truly the vibe this past Saturday in Toronto delaying the singer’s opening night performance, however he came in strong on Sunday.

Bruno Mars’ five-night run was supposed to start on May 23, but due to poor weather conditions it was postponed and fans will be able to attend the May 31 show.

But thousands of fans gathered last night to enjoy the concert at Rogers Stadium, and some even travelled hours to experience it.

“Flew in from Winnipeg just to see him, man,” Bruno Mars fan Ryan told The Brandon Gonez Show. “Since I was a kid, I’ve been listening to him always.”

R&B singer Leon Thomas and Anderson .Paak, the second member of Silk Sonic with Mars will be the openers for “The Romantic Tour” in Toronto.

Bruno Mars took over the stage and swooned fans singing hit songs like “That’s What I Like”, “Uptown Funk” and the Silk Sonic favorite, “Leave The Door Open”.

Fans showed their love for last night’s concert, proving just why Mars’ concert was in such high demand in the city.

“Worth every penny. This man is on another planet. Vocals sounded better live than on the album. INCREDIBLE,” a concert goer commented on The Brandon Gonez Show post.

“Best concert ever. He is out of this world. Vocals were crazy,” said another user.

There are continued mixed emotions when it comes to Toronto’s newest concert venue, Rogers Stadium that officially opened last June. People have been voicing their complaints due to the long walk in and out of the stage area as well as chaotic exiting out of the venue when the concerts end.

“I won’t lie, the venue’s nice. They need to fix the way that they get everyone into the area, but once you get here it’s great,” said concert goer Nate.

Night two of “The Romantic Tour” will kick off on May 27, followed by shows on the 28, 30 and 31.
