Canadian delivery service SkipTheDishes is facing intense criticism following a video showing a worker in Calgary with a company bag that appears very dirty, rather than sporting the brand’s recognizable orange color.
In the video, a man is seen walking to his car to put a SkipTheDishes bag in the backseat, posted by a content creator named Robert Gosse, who was shocked by the condition of the delivery bag, and turned off from ordering food again from the company.
“Could you imagine your food in that SkipTheDishes bag from this dude?” Gosse said in the video.
There are mixed thoughts in the comment section of the video, as some people are viewing this as a health concern, while others are not bothered by the sight. Some are arguing that their food is practically “protected” since it is in another bag from the restaurant anyways.
“I thought it was those bags mechanics carry that’s always dirty,” one user commented.
Another user made a sarcastic comment, sounding unbothered by the sight of the bag.
“Oh no, my food that is in a container, and inside a bag, is inside another bag that is dirty on the outside,” they wrote.
Some are also assuming that the delivery man in the video is a bit older in age, and someone shared that the state of the bag is just a testament to how hard he has been working on the job.
“If anything it just shows he’s been working there a while and the blame should go on the company for not providing him with new equipment,” said a user.
The Brandon Gonez Show reached out to the company for a statement, but did not receive a response at the time of publication.
SkipTheDishes did comment on the video that has gained over 200,000 views, asking Gosse to send them a direct message so that the company can look into the situation.
