A new Drake album is a treat, but three albums dropping in one night was unheard of until now, and Canadians are going crazy.

Fans were in high anticipation for the release of Drake’s new album “Iceman” but the excitement kept rolling when it was announced that he was dropping three albums in total on May 15.

“Iceman”, “Maid of Honour” and “Habibti” are the rapper’s newest albums, and Canadians shared with The Brandon Gonez Show how this moment has impacted them as a Drake fan.

“Honestly, I did not expect him at all to drop three albums, but the fact that he did lives up to the hype,” said Canadian Neel D. “ I think people are getting a bit like tired of waiting for ‘Iceman’, so you know, dropping three at once definitely build the hype back up,” he added.

Each album has a different vibe ranging from smooth R&B, to diss track raps, to club energy.

“Quite honestly, hip hop has been in a very, very dire state lately. I feel like Drake is a necessity in hip hop, and I’m pretty sure this is gonna be a great thing for hip hop, and for the city,” said Arthur Otim.

There has never been an artist to release three albums in one night, marking a historical moment in music.

“I mean, if there’s anyone that could drop three albums in one day, just casually drop them, it would be Drake,” said Otim. “I feel like I think he’s taking a new direction. He’s trying, he’s at that point in his career where he could actually start experimenting and stuff.”

With the ongoing beef with Drake and American rapper Kendrick Lamar, many are wondering how or if anyone will be able to top this iconic release.

“I literally love him, so that was actually such a good surprise. I’m so happy he did that, and they’re all so good,” Saachi B told The Brandon Gonez Show. “I feel like hopefully this will motivate them[other artists] to do bigger stunts like this, because I feel like everybody loved it. Like I know all the Americans are jealous about it,” she added.

Drake lit up Toronto last night from the C.N. Tower shining all iced out, to the surprise fireworks show, bringing hundreds of people in celebration and bonding together over the love of music and culture.

All of these moments will definitely go down in history for the city of Toronto, and will be one of those nights that people will remember for years to come.
