Porter Airlines Expands Winter Routes with New Non-Stop Flights to Jamaica

Escaping the Canadian winter will be more accessible this year as Porter Airlines announces new non-stop flights to Jamaica from Toronto, Hamilton and Ottawa.

Starting November, Ontarians looking for a tropical vacation will be able to fly to Montego Bay Sangster International Airport with Porter for the first time.

This will also be the first time passengers can fly to Jamaica from Hamilton without layovers, which is a significant expansion for Canadian travellers.

“This new airlift from Porter Airlines is a powerful affirmation of Jamaica’s standing as Canada’s premier winter sun destination,” said in a statement from the Minister of Tourism Jamaica, Hon Edmund Bartlett.

“We have worked deliberately to grow our Canadian airlift, and Porter’s expansion is a direct result of that effort. Jamaica is open, vibrant and ready to welcome every traveller who steps off these new flights,” said Edmund.

Flights from Toronto will begin on November 23, while Ottawa flights will begin on November 25. Ottawa will begin services on December 20.

Porter Airlines will now also be flying to Aruba, San Jose in California and Los Cabos, Mexico closer to the end of the year.
