In the video, the man explains that in his everyday life, from his social circles to the people he meets out and about in Toronto, he encounters attractive and emotionally intelligent women who claim to not be in a relationship.
“Boy, are there a lot of single women in their 30’s in Toronto. It is nuts,” he says in the video.
In the video, he does question if it is because the men in the city are perhaps not up to the women’s standards or not ready to commit.
“Is it because they got out of a long term relationship?” he asks.
The Brandon Gonez Show took to the streets of Toronto, to ask women their thoughts on the dating scene and the men of 6ix.
Local resident Renata S., although in a relationship shared that she has many friends who are struggling to find men who have an attractive personality.
“They don’t seem to find someone they would like in Toronto, mostly because they usually hang out with guys that have this attitude, and I don’t know, they have too much ego too,” shares Renata S.
She also shared that from what she hears from her friends, it seems to her as though a lot of men in the city don’t want to commit, but instead have fun and hookup.
“Like guys just go to the club to sit with their friends and to look around and just f*** around,” she adds.
Even with the help of dating apps, where you can come across someone you may have never crossed paths with otherwise, it could be hard to find a genuine connection if that is what the person is looking for.
Toronto resident Hailei B. shares that people in her life feel like online dating could start to feel like a numbers game which makes it undesirable to put themselves out there and go on dates.
“I think they just don’t want to put in the time to like, go on dates with men that are just shitty from the get go,” Hailei B. shares.
She does share that she believes the way to a good relationship is to continue to put yourself out there and maintain a positive attitude.
“As much as it’s like bad out there, like tough, I feel like if you have a negative mindset you’re gonna kind of attract that,” she said.
