The wait for this highly anticipated moment is finally over, as today marks Canada’s first FIFA World Cup game on Canadian soil for the first time.

The action will be brought to Toronto Stadium at 3:00 p.m., hosting thousands of energetic Canadian and Bosnia and Herzegovina fans.

Early this morning, Bosnian-Herzegovina fans and Canadian fans took the streets of Toronto to cheer and scream in support of their teams.

The Brandon Gonez Show asked Canadian and Bosnia and Herzegovina fans how they are feeling and who they predict will take the win.

“Bosnia, of course. What a question. How can you ask a question like that? I love Canada. I love Toronto, and I love all of you, but we’re gonna beat the hell out of you,” said a Bosnia and Herzegovina fan in Toronto.

“It’s our country. We love our country. We are confident. We are good in football. We are a small country, but we hope that we will win,” shared another Bosnia and Herzegovina fan.

Many international fans have travelled to Toronto to attend Friday’s World Cup match, bringing many first-timers to the city.

“The city is beautiful. You need a little bit more in the night. Some pubs or something here in downtown, but [it’s] great,” said a first time traveller to Toronto.

Canadians are confident that home advantage will be enough to conquer all, and they share what they think the score will be.

“2-0, all the way. We’re on our ground. We’re pumped about it,” a Canadian fan told The Brandon Gonez Show.

Team Canada fans are gathering at Trinity Bellwoods Park this morning and marching to Toronto Stadium, energizing the city before the game.

Tons of Bosnia and Herzegovina supporters are headed to Stanley Park to join in a fan march taking place at 12:30 p.m. and will also make their way to the stadium.

This is the second time Bosnia and Herzegovina has qualified for the World Cup, the first time being in 2014.

The opening ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Toronto Stadium with performances from Alanis Morissette singing the national anthem and other performances from singers Alessia Cara, Jessie Reyes, Elyanna, Michael Bublé, Nora Fatehi, Sanjoy, Vegedream and William Prince.
