This week on #NEWSYOUCANUSE: Have you ever been to a hair salon and been turned away because they didn’t know how to manage your texture of hair? Many of us have, especially in the Black community. On this #NYCU I spoke to T’kehya Prentice-Cupid, a stylist from Toronto who created Textured Hair Edu, a new curriculum that teaches students how to cut, colour, style and treat all kinds of textured hair. T’kehya told me all about what inspired her to develop this program and her dream to have ALL salons serve ALL communities!
