Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow is declaring her new title to the public, and she now wants to be referred to as “Crolivia”.
If you’re thinking, “What did I miss?”, she is referring to the nickname she was given from the Toronto rapper that is constantly making headlines in the past week, Drake.
Last night at the new venue opening of “SOUNDSTAGE” in Toronto, Chow jokingly started off her speech at the podium saying, “What do you mean you didn’t introduce me as Crolivia?”
“I love that she’s having the best time with this lmao,” a user commented on The Brandon Gonez Show post.
“Nah that’s certi [certified], even our Mayor’s OVO,“ commented another user.
On May 15, Chow posted a photo on social media of a special note Drake left for her that read, “Thank you my crodi. Crolivia Chow! ICEMAN 2026.”
The reference “crodi” comes from the Toronto slang term “crodie” meaning a trustworthy friend.
Drake left this note for the Toronto Mayor to thank her for allowing him and his team to film at City Hall for his music video for the song “Make Them Remember” on his new album “Iceman”.
The note also came the day after Drake’s three album releases, icing out the C.N. Tower and displaying a surprise fireworks show at Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre.
It is not surprising that Olivia Chow is embracing her new nickname, as she is known to show her fun side and her cultural involvement.
