“Neck broke from carrying the chain” Drake makes history surpassing the King of Pop on Billboard Charts

“Just Beat It” is one of Michael Jackson’s most famous songs, but Drake is taking it literally, by taking the King of Pop’s place on the charts and making music history.

On May 26, Toronto rapper Drake officially holds the record for the most number one hits by a solo male artist, surpassing the pop icon’s place on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Drake is also not being quiet about this win. He posted an A.I. generated photo of Michael Jackson as an “iceman”.

“Neck broke from carrying the chain. Back broke from carrying the game. Records broken carry on my name. Carry on carry on,” reads the caption.

Drake’s fans are giving him his flowers for making this big accomplishment, one user even commenting, “THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME.”

But people took to the comment section on The Brandon Gonez Show post to also voice their opinion on who they think is the ultimate G.O.A.T.

“Drake will NEVER be on MJ’s level,” said a user on The Brandon Gonez Show post.

“I think Drake is definitely a hit maker, but Michael is still the greatest to ever do it. His songs take you to another world,” said another user.

The song “Janice STFU” on Drake’s new album “Iceman” topped the charts breaking the tie with Jackson of having 14 songs that were placed at number one on the charts.

“Iceman” is one of the three albums the artist dropped on May 15, alongside the album “Maid of Honour” and “Habibti”.

All 42 songs within the three new albums also are all on the Hot 100 chart this week.

Drake has been taking over the internet with back to back headlines from his surprise three-album drop, to his marketing campaigns in Toronto and his Nike commercial alongside NBA star Kevin Durant.

Fans are definitely excited to see what the “Six God” will be up to next.
