Basketball fans are reacting to news that Toronto Raptors superstar Pascal Siakam has been traded to the Pacers.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Toronto Raptors are working on a deal that would see them trade Siakam to Indiana in exchange for players Bruce Brown and Jordan Nwora, as well as three first-round picks.

“Pascal Siakam is excited about the deal to the Pacers and expected to be eager to work out a new contract with the franchise this summer, sources tell ESPN. Siakam can be a free agent in July,” Wojnarowski said in another post.

Some fans are excited about the trade, feeling like Toronto made the right move.

“Haliburton and Siakam together should be fun to watch but I think Toronto wins this trade,” one person wrote on X.

While other people are not happy.

“And just like that, the Raptors lose the last player of the 2019 championship,” wrote one person on X.

“Major. Heartbreaker. Really hoping Masai knows what he’s doing with this one. I mean…this was a guy who wanted to stay a Raptor as long as possible. Thank you, Spicy P.”

And some fans are just shocked.

“No more spicy p y’all oh my goodness,” wrote one fan.

Siakam was signed to Toronto during the 2016 NBA Draft and has spent his entire seven-year career as a Raptor.

According to reports the New Orleans Pelicans are also involved in the deal, sending Kira Lewis Jr. to the Raps.
