What would you do if you opened a fresh packaged salad from the grocery store… and found a frog inside?
That nightmare scenario recently became reality for radio host Azalea Hart, who shared the shocking moment on TikTok. In her video, she describes being “literally never more mortified” as she realizes the mysterious green shape buried in her greens is, in fact, a frog.

Hart’s reaction escalates from confusion to disbelief as she zooms in on the creature. “Are you kidding?” she asks, followed by the blunt confirmation no one wants to hear while prepping dinner: “It’s a frog.”
The BG Show team reached out to Loblaw, the parent company of the President’s Choice brand, to find out how something like this could happen. A spokesperson said, “they’re truly sorry that this happened.”
“We take the safety of our products seriously and have raised this with our supplier. They confirmed that this was an isolated incident and that their existing safety protocols were in place at the time. As an extra precaution, they are adding extra checks, including more staff inspecting raw ingredients and additional steps along the washing line. They’re also working with their own suppliers to understand how this occurred and to put long-term safeguards in place. We’ve reached out to the customer directly, and we’re committed to making sure our products are safe and high-quality,” the spokesperson said on Thursday.
Meanwhile, TikTok commenters are sounding off. Some say Hart should be on the phone with head office immediately. Others point out that even “pre-washed” salads still need to be washed at home. And then there’s a whole camp of people who feel terrible — not for Hart, but for the frog.
