Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story has taken fans of the period drama franchise by storm. The prequel to the wildly popular series, written by TV powerhouse Shonda Rhimes, tells the story of young Queen Charlotte, the ruling monarch in the Bridgerton series.
Online, those who have watched the spin-off are raving about the casting, costumes, storyline, and acting.
“#QueenCharlotte was the best series I’ve watched in a while. Cried my heart out at the last episode! Fantastic program with an incredible cast,” wrote one Twitter user.
“#QueenCharlotte This series has hit me HARD. The most touching love story acted out by the most incredible cast. I’ve got a few episodes left and I don’t want it to end!”
Meanwhile, other fans are sharing excitement about finally having a series that features women above the age of 30 with storylines about love, their personal lives, sex, and more.

Though the new spin-off is a prequel, and not season three of Bridgerton, some fans are saying this is the best story set in the Bridgerton universe so far!
