A billionaire businessman invited Rihanna to his son’s lavish pre-wedding celebration in India.
The youngest son of billionaire Mukesh Ambani, Anant Ambani, is tying the knot with his fiancé Radhika Merchant in India.
Mukesh is the ninth richest person in the world and the richest in Asia, according to Forbes.
Although the wedding isn’t until July of this year, the family is set to kick off a three-day pre-wedding celebration in their hometown of Jamnagar.
Rihanna is reportedly set to perform at the celebration and is being paid around $9 million for her appearance.
In addition, the 1,200 guest list includes other a-list stars such Bill Gates, Sundar Pichai and Bob Iger, according to Reuters.
Some perks guests will enjoy are dining on 500 dishes created by 100 chefs and being pampered by hair stylers, makeup artists and Indian wear drapists on a “first come, first serve basis,” according to a planning document provided to invitees.
Guests are also invited to dress in “jungle fever” outfits during a visit to a rescue centre that is home to more than 2,000 animals and has one of the world’s largest elephant hospitals.
Asia’s richest man also hosted an extravagant wedding for his daughter Isha in 2018 and that reportedly cost $100 million. The special guest that year was Beyoncé.
People online have also expressed their excitement for the wedding and Rihanna’s guest appearance.
Forbes estimates Ambani’s net worth at around $116 billion.
