TORONTO – The summer of 2022 was full of concert mishaps in Toronto. The disaster that was Kultureland 2022’s Sunday show took place way back in August but months later, people have yet to receive their refunds.
Concert attendees were given until August 25th to file for a refund and despite meeting the deadline, many say that not only was the festival a scam, but the refund process was as well!
One woman who reached out to the News You Can Use Team said that she applied for her refund on August 25th, but has not received her money back.
“After the statement regarding refunds from Kultureland festival on their Instagram, we received an email from Festicket saying ‘Refunds are processed back to the original payment method. Any refunds will be processed within 28 working days of August 25th’,” shared the ticketholder.
“The online form was filled and sent in. I had not seen any refunds issued as of October 4th so I checked the Kultureland Twitter. They said refunds will be issued by Festicket and to email contact@festicket.com. I have yet to receive a response or reply. I did some further digging and tried using their help/customer service page but that isn’t operational at this point. After doing some further digging I learned Festicket is in administration and is in the process of being bought or already purchased by Lyte,” she continued, sharing that she then went to the Lyte website to fill out an inquiry form.
After reaching out to the organization she received a message saying that ”Festicket Ltd entered Administration” on Monday, September 12th.
“As Festicket is currently in Administration the organization is not in a position to finalize taking payments or issue refunds. We kindly asked that you direct all ticket and/or refund–related questions to the event promoter” Lyte’s team said in a statement to the woman on October 12th.
Meanwhile, on Twitter, Kultureland is pointing fingers at Festicket for the refund delay.
“Hello all, please understand refunds are all handled by the ticketing company, @Festicket. We have absolutely no control over how or when it is processed. Please direct all refund inquiries to them at contact@festicket.com if you still haven’t received your refund. Thanks,” tweeted out the festival’s account on October 2nd.
