An invite-only social travel club is sparking some controversy online because of safety concerns.
People have the opportunity to apply to go on luxury trips on an exclusive, invite-only travel platform to network and create unique memories.
According to “FlyMeOut,” it connects like-minded travellers, offering access to unique travel experiences, luxury accommodations, and private events around the world.
The app is designed for 18+ users and the exclusive membership requires invitations or applications to join. However, according to the company, applications undergo a review process to ensure its community guidelines are met.
A host’s profile shows details of the trip, such as the destination, duration of the trip, how many people are invited, the trip’s vibe and other information that a member can view if they wish to apply. The host then determines the selected guests to be a part of the trip.
Members can also host a trip if they wish to and every trip experience is not one-on-one but created for groups.
“This ensures a more dynamic and enjoyable group environment for everyone involved,” the website states.
Some users online have expressed concerns about its safety features.
One X user said, “horrible idea.”
“Women this is not a good idea,” another user said.
Meanwhile, others are expressing interest in joining to check out the app’s benefits.
One user said, “Idc I’m taking this risk.”
“Definitely downloading this,” another user said.
In addition, members can also enjoy enhanced features such as brand trip applications, access to exclusive events, special discounts and other luxury accommodations, according to its website.
