A special dining experience aimed at smashing stigma is returning to Toronto this month.
“When Casey House found that 53% of Canadians said they wouldn’t knowingly eat a meal prepared by someone HIV+, we started challenging people to do just that,” reads the Casey House website.
The #SmashStigma campaign was launched in 2017 and features June’s HIV+ Eatery, a pop-up restaurant where the meals are prepared by people living with HIV.
In support of people living with HIV, this year Casey House is hosting an evening of storytelling, featuring a delicious multi-course dinner, cocktail reception, and music, with funds going to the programs and services provided by Casey House.
The one-night event is happening on June 14, and tickets are already sold out.
“It promises to be a fabulous night that raises vital funds for our hospital’s programs and services, and smashes stigma with every delicious bite.”
