People are calling out a woman online for having a “Blaccent” after she posted a video speaking about cornbread.

The woman posted a video of her eating soul food, and people immediately called her out for pronouncing “cornbread” as “conebread.”

Many people online think she was using a “Blaccent” in her video.

To give context of what “Blaccent” means, according to Dictionary.com “a blend of black and accent, is the imitation of Black English by non-Black people.”

In response to the backlash, she posted a video online addressing people’s comments about her slang.

In the video she said, “First of all, what? Yes, I have an accent cause I ain’t from here. I was born in Thailand and I grew up in Georgia for a decade.”

People online have reacted to her videos.
